I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go… ---Psalm 32:8
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul (mind, will and emotions) shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt (lift up) His name together.
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears (anxieties & terrors). They looked to Him and were radiant and their faces were not ashamed (brought to confusion). This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved (rescued preserved, made him safe and free) him out of all his troubles. (sickness, calamity, financial woes, relationships)
The angel of the Lord encamps (dwells) all around those who fear (reverence and honor) Him, and delivers them. Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints (believers)! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek (diligently inquire, search) the Lord shall not lack any good thing. (health, success in business, success in relationships, finances)
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
1. Keep your tongue from evil (don’t talk about your problems and speak double-mindedness.)
2. And your lips from speaking deceit (lying, bitterness, offense, backstabbing)
3. Depart from evil and do good (be a blessing to everyone and walk in love)
4. Seek peace and pursue it (no revenge, but ask forgiveness and forgive others)
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous (those who are right with God), and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near those who have a broken heart (seeks forgiveness) and saves such as have a contrite(bruised, crushed) spirit.
Many are the afflictions (evil, physically, socially or morally) of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards (to hedge or protect) their bones (car crashes, calamity, and accidents), not one of them is broken (crushed, destroy, hurt). Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems (rescues) the soul (mind, will and emotions) of His servants, and none of those who trust (relies and has confidence) in Him shall be condemned (found guilty).
Psalm 34
Confession: I will trust in the Lord who will guard me, protect me, forgive me, and provide for me. I will bless the Lord at all times. I will keep evil from my tongue, I will not speak deceit, I will be a blessing to everyone I meet and seek peace and pursue it.
